Job summary

Christ's Home seeks an experienced RN to lead nursing education and infection prevention across the nursing team. You will develop educational programs, coordinate annual skills training, support orientation and competency, and drive infection prevention initiatives to protect residents and staff.

You will also lead the Infection Prevention and Control Plan, conduct surveillance and outbreak investigations, coordinate vaccination programs, and contribute to policy development and CQI activities

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
• BSN required.
• 5+ years of professional nursing experience in a hospital or long-term care clinical setting.
• Infection prevention experience.
• Training or facilitation experience preferred, but not required.
• Infection Preventionist must be qualified for the role through education, training, certification, or experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and coordinate meaningful educational programs for nursing staff.
• Lead annual skills education and required training.
• Support orientation and competency development for newly hired staff.
• Identify learning needs and develop growth opportunities.
• Coordinate CPR training.
• Provide hands-on education on IVs, PICC lines, wound vacs, CPAP/BiPAP, new equipment, and clinical procedures.
• Support PointClickCare training.
• Lead Infection Prevention and Control Plan.
• Conduct infection surveillance and outbreak investigations.
• Support antibiotic stewardship.
• Coordinate resident and staff vaccination programs.
• Monitor infection-control data and reporting.
• Help develop infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Provide infection prevention education.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and coordinate Infection Prevention and Control Committee meetings.
