Birch Healthcare Center in New Hampshire seeks a Nurse Practice Educator / Infection Preventionist to lead clinical education and the infection prevention program. You will translate standards into practice, identify education needs, validate competencies, monitor infection trends, and drive improvements across the center.

The role blends teaching with system improvement, focusing on orientation, mentoring, regulatory readiness, antibiotic stewardship, and surveillance.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum three years of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in clinical education, staff development, infection prevention, nursing leadership, or a combination.
• Education, training, or certification in infection prevention and control.
• Completion of required specialized infection-prevention training.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong teaching, facilitation, coaching, and adult-learning skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate findings into action.
• Ability to influence clinical practice across departments.

Responsibilities

• Assess clinical education and competency needs across the center.
• Develop and lead new-hire orientation and ongoing staff education.
• Coordinate and validate nursing and clinical competencies.
• Coach staff to close knowledge gaps.
• Develop education in response to regulatory changes and quality trends.
• Maintain the infection prevention and control program.
• Conduct infection surveillance and analyze trends.
• Lead antibiotic stewardship activities.
• Educate staff on standard and transmission-based precautions.
• Coordinate required public-health reporting.
• Maintain records of education, surveillance, and infection prevention.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and other departments.
• Support survey readiness and corrective actions.
