Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in nursing is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in acute care hospital is preferred.
• Currently licensed as an RN in the state of practice or have an active compact license.
• Nationally Recognized Specialty certification preferred.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Travel up to 25% available.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
• Provides orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
• Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust the program based on evaluation results.
• Participates in development, coordination and management of competency development and evaluation.
• Designs educational activities to address practice gaps for identified audiences.
• Develops activities to achieve outcomes related to deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge and practice.
• Promotes EBP and participates in research, EBP, and QI in patient care settings.
• Identifies strategies for lifelong learning maturation.
• Utilizes novice-to-expert continuum for staff development.
