Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Nurse Educator Critical Care to influence patient care through collaborative leadership and evidence-based education programs at the assigned facility.

The role focuses on onboarding, competency development, and continuous professional development for licensed and non-licensed staff, with opportunities to participate in research and hospital councils. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• 2+ years experience in acute care hospital preferred.
• RN license in state of practice or active compact state license required.
• Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Travel up to 25% ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
• Provide onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
• Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluation results.
• Develop education activities to address practice gaps and promote learner engagement.
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in research, EBP, and quality improvement.
