Job summary

Midland-Marvel Recruiters, LLC is seeking a Nurse Educator for CVOR functions. The role involves assessment planning, development, implementation and evaluation of learning programs to enhance performance and professional development within the nursing department.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in nursing, a Master’s in nursing or MBA, 3–4 years of relevant experience, scrub and circulate proficiency, and relevant certifications. Strong communication and AORN involvement are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree in nursing or business administration preferred.
• 3-4 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience required.
• Experience in teaching or professional development preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with both scrub and circulate experience.
• Experience with larger program that handles transplants, VAD’s, heart failure, aortic work, robotic, congenital heart surgery.
• Good communication, teamwork, and practice-member of AORN.
• Experience creating competencies and knowledge of AORN standards.
• Certification in clinical specialty from nationally recognized nursing organization. within 1 Year required
• Nursing Professional Development certification within 36 months of hire. required
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
• Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
