Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room nurse to join our surgical services team. The role provides clinical care, education, research support, coaching and collaboration with leaders to promote quality and ethical patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, an active Georgia RN license and BCLS certification, with at least 2 years of OR nursing experience; AORN certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required.
• RN licensure in Georgia required; BCLS certification required.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty (AORN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides education, research, coaching, direct care, consultation, leadership collaboration and ethical decision making for patients and surgical services staff.
• Acts as a change agent to promote quality through clinical expertise and communicates patient care and staff concerns to leaders as needed.
