Job summary

MedStar Washington Hospital Center seeks an experienced CVOR nurse to serve as Nurse Educator for our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This role leads education, implements learning programs and mentors perioperative teams within the Department of Nursing.

The Educator will drive competency development, promote evidence-based practice and adopt new technologies in cardiac care. Requires RN licensure in DC and CVOR/operating room experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in DC or compact state required.
• Master’s degree preferred (nursing or business).
• Experience in education or professional development preferred.
• Experience with cardiovascular perioperative environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements and evaluates designated learning programs for associates.
• Provides continuing education activities and certfication review support.
• Develops competency validation programs and coaches staff.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and adult learning principles.
