The Nurse Educator partners with clinical leaders to strengthen knowledge, promote consistency in care delivery, and enhance patient safety through comprehensive education and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be a professional Registered Nurse with active license.
• Experience leading clinical education initiatives.
• Ability to support onboarding, competency development, continuing education, and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing orientation, onboarding, competency validation, and continuing education programs.
• Assess learning needs and create educational initiatives that support clinical priorities, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals.
• Serve as the clinical expert, educator, mentor, and resource for nursing staff, preceptors, students, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Support staff development through coaching, mentorship, constructive feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
• Promote evidence-based practice by integrating current research and best practices into educational programs and clinical workflows.
• Collaborate with leadership and clinical teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement education strategies that enhance patient outcomes.
• Facilitate training and remediation plans to address identified competency gaps and ensure ongoing compliance with required skills and certifications.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of nursing standards, policies, and clinical practice guidelines.
• Lead and participate in performance improvement initiatives, department projects, and organizational committees that advance patient care and operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, accountability, and positive communication throughout the Medical Group.
• Support student clinical experiences and serve as a resource for academic partnerships as appropriate.
• Promote patient and staff education while ensuring adherence to safety practices, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, independent judgment and initiative in managing educational priorities and achieving departmental goals.
