Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a passion for developing others, precepts students, graduate nurses and new hires; analyzes clinical and behavioral situations to identify learning opportunities and improve patient care practices; seeks feedback on performance and promotes continuous professional improvement.
• Applies the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment; formulates daily goals and a patient-centered plan of care; communicates with care providers and stakeholders to optimize patient care and unit practices.
• Serves as a role model of professional nursing practice, leading teams and influencing clinical practice; participates in shared governance and promotes quality and safety initiatives.
• Builds and mends relationships among colleagues, fostering a healthy workplace; demonstrates cultural awareness and supports work-life balance through prioritization and delegation.
• Identifies opportunities for clinical quality improvement and participates in teams launching innovations in patient care and workforce health.
