Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a Nurse Educator for Riverwoods Behavioral Health in Riverdale, GA. The role develops and implements education plans, leads new hire orientation, and ensures ongoing training aligned with regulatory guidelines to enhance patient safety and staff competency.

The position collaborates with nursing leadership, provides clinical education, and supports infection prevention and competency development across the facility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education or other clinical field (or equivalent combination)
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or commensurate experience required
• 1+ years in Clinical Education/Training and Development preferred
• Certification as an NPD Practitioner or equivalent (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Facilitates orientation/onboarding to promote employee retention.
• Designs and implements educational activities to address practice gaps for diverse staff.
• Ensures curricula compliance with Joint Commission, CARF, CMS and state agencies.
• Provides staff with just-in-time education and infection prevention initiatives as needed.
• Collaborates with Nursing leadership to review outcomes data and refine competency activities.
