Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. seeks an experienced Nurse Educator to plan, develop, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate general as well as specialty-specific learning resources to maintain or increase the skill of team members across our network.

You will apply adult learning principles, design comprehensive curricula, provide preceptor development, support quality and safety initiatives, and partner with unit leadership to drive continuous professional development and excellence in patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN or Education-related degree required.
• Current Florida RN license in good standing.
• National specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development or related area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enhances clinical and educational competence by needs assessments and Education Action Plans.
• Provides general and specialty-specific education to prepare team members to be safe, efficient, and competent practitioners.
• Provides general and/or specialty-specific preceptor development on an on-going basis.
• Participates in specialty-specific, site-specific or corporate committees and educational initiatives.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
