Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Nurse Professional Development Generalist to lead education and competency initiatives across the organization. You will design learning strategies, promote lifelong learning, and ensure staff can transition across clinical settings while aligning with Magnet standards.

The role emphasizes patient safety, quality outcomes, and active participation in organizational improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
• Minimum of 3 or more years of current experience in Nursing in an acute care hospital.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Magnet Recognition Program knowledge.
• Must acquire and maintain ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: creates teaching/learning strategies and materials to promote practice.
• Partner for Practice Transitions: plans orientation and competency requirements for staff.
• Change Agent: applies change theory and manages program outcomes.
• Mentor: supports lifelong learning and goal achievement for staff.
• Leader: aligns activities with organizational goals and safety outcomes.
• Champion of Scientific Inquiry: supports and disseminates research findings.
• Patient Safety & Quality: participates in hospital-wide safety and quality initiatives.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
