Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Nurse Professional Development Specialist (NPD) to advance nursing education across our clinical practice. The role designs teaching strategies and leads curriculum development to improve patient outcomes.

The NPD will mentor staff, drive change, and ensure alignment with Magnet standards and patient safety goals. Requires a Master’s in Nursing, RN license, and 3+ years in acute care with proficiency in Office tools.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Nursing or related field; if not in Nursing, must hold a nursing baccalaureate.
• Minimum 3+ years current experience in Nursing in an acute care hospital.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
• Magnet Recognition Program knowledge.
• Must obtain/maintain competencies and certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS).
