Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking an RN Clinical Educator to advance nursing education across the ED and hospital. You will design and deliver orientation, competency programs, and ongoing professional development for diverse staff groups, ensuring alignment with patient safety and quality goals.

The role requires strong collaboration with clinical leaders, expertise in education program development, and the ability to manage records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience, ideally in an acute care setting.
• Arizona RN license and BLS certification required; other certs may be department-specific.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing orientation and professional development for staff.
• Develop and coordinate hospital-wide education programs and policies.
• Act as a clinical role model and mentor to improve critical thinking and patient safety.
• Maintain training records, track progress, and assess program effectiveness.
• Collaborate with clinicians and educators to implement education initiatives.
• Plan and deliver in-service education and competency assessments.
• Evaluate learning outcomes and drive quality improvement in training.
