Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner (PRN) to serve as an educator and resource for nursing staff. This role focuses on delivering system Core Classes, onboarding, competency development, and ongoing professional growth to support excellent patient care.

Teaching experience is strongly preferred and the position emphasizes adult learning principles. The PRN role is primarily based at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel, IN, with occasional support

Qualifications

• BSN required and RN licensed in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Active BLS certification required; other life support may be required per unit.
• Two years of experience preferred; teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate system Core Classes and educational programs for nursing staff.
• Support onboarding and orientation with classroom and skills-based instruction.
• Coordinate competency development, validation, and management activities.
• Design and evaluate educational offerings using adult learning principles.
• Promote ongoing professional development and continuing education.
