The Nurse Director Labor Delivery will guide a comprehensive Birthplace spanning obstetric services, birthing services, triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care with efficient OR access for cesarean deliveries; this unit thrives on teamwork and delivers compassionate, family-centered care, while being part of a top-performing 229-licensed-bed acute care facility recognized for safety, exceptional patient experience, and specialized regional care. Reporting to a Chief Nursing Officer with strong executive visibility, the Nurse Director Labor Delivery leads managers/educators/charge RNs and partners with OB/GYNs, certified nurse-midwives, anesthesiology, pediatrics/neonatology, lactation consultants, case management, pharmacy, and social work; this Nurse Director Women's and Children's Health, Birthplace Center Nurse Director role includes strategy, staffing, budgeting, mentoring, quality and regulatory readiness, perinatal safety drills, fetal monitoring standards, and throughput optimization, all supported by friendly nurses and a diverse, highly skilled interdisciplinary team that values inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
