The Women’s Services Director will join a mission-driven, patient-first healthcare organization committed to health equity, community benefit, and accessible care for a diverse population. The Labor and Delivery Director will lead a comprehensive Women’s Services program encompassing labor and delivery, obstetrics, postpartum care, and NICU collaboration. This major safety-net teaching hospital and regional trauma center performs well in specific critical care areas, including heart failure and COPD; however, it currently holds a low 1-star overall rating from the federal government’s CMS program because of mixed safety and wait-time metrics. For an improvement-focused Director of Labor and Delivery, this creates a meaningful opportunity to strengthen maternal care, elevate patient experience, improve clinical performance, and help advance sustainable quality outcomes.

Reporting to the CNO, the Women’s Services Director will receive executive support while overseeing clinical operations, staffing, regulatory readiness, quality improvement, patient safety, budgeting, performance metrics, and strategic service-line growth. The Labor and Delivery Director will partner with friendly nurses and a diverse team of physicians, advanced practice providers, neonatal specialists, educators, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to promote respectful collaboration, staff engagement, and exceptional care throughout the maternal-child continuum. The Director of Labor and Delivery will oversee the Labor and Delivery, NICU, and Postpartum units.
