Job summary

Cook County Health & Hospitals System is seeking a Nurse Coordinator II (Nurse Manager) for CERMAK in Chicago. The role oversees 24/7 patient care delivery by nurses and technicians, building collaborative relationships with medical and correctional staff within a multi-disciplinary team.

The position requires Illinois RN licensure, BSN from an NLN-accredited school, CPR, and at least four years of nursing experience, with preferred management background.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois, required.
• Bachelors of Science (BSN) degree from a NLN-accredited school of nursing is required (Must provide official transcripts at time of interview).
• Current CPR certification is required (Must provide proof at time of interview).
• A minimum of four (4) years of nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Review and apply collective bargaining agreements and consult with Labor Relations.
• Participate in collective bargaining negotiations and related meetings.
• Provide direct supervision to nurses and medical technicians and ensure compliance with policies.
• Coordinate with correctional staff to facilitate patient care and safety.
• Perform recruitment and oversee orientation of new staff.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
