Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in South Dakota
• Valid driver’s license
• PASRR experience preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Perform MDS validation reviews to ensure Medicaid reimbursement accuracy for long-term care facilities
• Oversee a central South Dakota region including multiple counties
• Evaluate clinical documentation to determine appropriate level of care for residents and HCBS participants
• Support PASRR processes with level of care determinations for individuals with serious mental illness triggers
• Provide ongoing education, guidance, and technical assistance to nursing facility staff
• Promote regulatory compliance and accurate documentation with providers
• Travel within designated area as needed; influenza vaccination required
