South Dakota Department of Human Services in SD state-wide locations seeks a Nurse Consultant to ensure accuracy of Medicaid reimbursements for long-term care facilities. You will review clinical documentation to determine care levels and support PASRR processes, with travel within the central SD region as needed.

The ideal candidate is a licensed RN in South Dakota with MDS experience and strong regulatory knowledge, providing education and guidance to facility staff to improve documentation

Formación

• Licensed RN in SD is required.
• MDS assessment experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Knowledge of PASRR and regulatory requirements for Medicaid.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct routine MDS validation reviews to ensure Medicaid reimbursement accuracy.
• Provide oversight across central South Dakota counties within the designated region.
• Assist PASRR level of care determinations for individuals with serious mental illness triggers.
