Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Charge (CNC) to lead a nursing unit during the assigned shift. You will direct staff roles, coordinate patient placement by acuity and staff availability, and participate in patient care conferences and discharge planning.

The role requires a Florida RN license, 2+ years of acute care RN experience, and relevant certifications (NIH Stroke Scale, BCLS, ACLS). Comprehensive benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required or approved multistate license.
• 2+ years of RN experience in an acute care OR environment.
• RN Diploma/AD/BSN preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of employment start.
• BCLS Instructor requirement within 30 days of start.
• ACLS Provider card required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee staff roles on the unit.
• Coordinate patient placement by acuity, skill mix, and staff availability.
• Identify and address educational needs of the unit.
• Lead patient care conferences and discharge planning discussions.
• Ensure rounds with physicians and timely clinical decisions.
• Maintain appropriate orders and ensure execution.
• Collaborate with management to support unit performance.
