Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient-centered care for individuals with opioid and alcohol use disorders, collaborating with psychiatrists, clinicians, recovery coaches and pharmacists. The role covers intake, assessment, initiation of treatment, stabilization and ongoing maintenance within a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires MA RN licensure, BLS certification, and preferably a CARN within three years, plus at least two years of substance use/mental

Qualifications

• RN with valid Massachusetts license and BLS certification.
• Certified Addiction Registered Nurse (CARN) or the ability to obtain within three years of hire date.
• Two years of substance use/mental health nursing experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered nursing care across intake, assessment, initiation, stabilization and maintenance phases.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
• Adheres to regulations and organization policies and procedures.
• Administers injectable medications and coordinates care with the OBAT team.
• Maintains timely documentation in the electronic medical records.
