Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Addiction Nurse Care Manager for the Addiction Psychiatry Treatment Program (APTP) in the Psychiatry department. The role is full‑time and based in Boston, MA, requiring Massachusetts RN licensure and 3–5 years of clinical experience, including work with substance use disorders.

The nurse will manage assessments, care plans, medication management, and interprofessional collaboration with addiction treatment teams, while ensuring documentation and compliance

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• 3–5 years clinical experience.
• 2+ years with patients who have substance use disorders and/or mental health conditions preferred.
• Maintain R.N. competencies annually; CARN within one year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and intake with patients.
• Develop and revise care plans with the addiction treatment team.
• Manage medications for addiction (opioids, alcohol, stimulants).
• Educate and assess patients seeking opioid treatment programs.
• Monitor withdrawal signs and manage induction, stabilization, and maintenance phases.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with policies; communicate with team and pharmacy.
