Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks an Addiction Nurse Coordinator to lead the OBOT program within General Internal Medicine. The role focuses on nursing leadership, intake assessments, and coordination of addiction treatment in a primary care setting.

You will supervise staff, ensure compliance, provide patient education, and collaborate with the OBOT team and outside sites. A licensed RN in MA with experience in addiction care is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in MA required.
• Nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN) preferred; BSN within 4 years encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment and intake collecting social, medical, mental health, substance use and medication history.
• Reviews intake with OBOT team to assess eligibility and plan care.
• Provides ongoing education and coordination of services; supervises staff.
• Counsels patients on relapse prevention and pharmacotherapy; provides follow-up care.
• Collects data for state reporting and manages referrals and scheduling.
