Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the PCU unit on a 12-hour Night Shift (7pm–7:30am). The role supports RN-directed patient care, equipment transport, and supplies management in a fast-paced cardiac step-down setting.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, feeding, intake/output recording, specimen collection, safety rounds, and equipment handling. BLS and CNA/clinical rotation are required; EMT experience may substitute. Benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent required.
• PA Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) or completed clinical rotations required.
• 1 year of relevant experience or EMT in lieu of certification/rotation.
• BLS Required

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care following RN instructions and policies.
• Prepare rooms and gather supplies for admissions and discharges.
• Assist with feeding, dysphasia precautions, and track intake/output.
• Collect specimens (urine, stool, Foley) as directed.
• Apply heat/cold packs and assist with orthopedic devices and wraps.
• Participate in hourly rounding to promote safety and comfort.
• Seek guidance from Nurse Manager for conflict resolution.
