Job summary

Trinity Health's St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA seeks a Nurse Assistant for the PCU on the night shift (7pm–7:30am). This role provides direct patient care under RN supervision, supports equipment, transport, and daily tasks in a fast-paced cardiac step-down unit.

Candidate must be a High School graduate with CNA registration or eligible clinical rotations, BLS, and at least 1 year of relevant experience or EMT certification. Join a mission-driven team with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent required.
• PA Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) OR completed a minimum of one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program required.
• 1 year of relevant experience and/or relevant certification (EMT) is considered in lieu of required certification/clinical rotation.
• BLS Required

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities following RN instructions, physician orders, policies, procedures and regulations.
• Obtains supplies from designated supply rooms to assure patient rooms are ready for patient admission and cleared when patient discharged/transferred.
• Assists with feeding patients and records intake/output; understands dysphagia precautions.
• Collects specimens (urine, clean catch, foley, stools for C-diff) and performs basic tests.
• Assists with application of heat/cold packs, ace wraps, slings, binders and orthopedic devices.
• Participates in hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and comfort; communicates safety precautions to patient and family.
