Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide personal and homemaking services to patients at home under supervision. The role supports ill and elderly individuals, delivering daily care during day shifts.

The position requires a Michigan CNA, high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and BLS within the first week. Prior home care experience is preferred; a full-time schedule is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• State of Michigan CNA Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and driving record per McLaren policy.
• BLS certification required within first week of hire.
• Six months of experience with a variety of patients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care of a patient, including bathing, grooming/hygiene, and toileting.
• Takes and records daily vital signs and reports any abnormalities.
• Assists patients with positioning/turning, transfers, catheter care, and range of motion exercises.

Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, provides personal and homemaking services to ill, convalescing, elderly, and disabled persons in the patients' home.

Responsibilities:

• Provides personal care of a patient, including bathing, grooming/hygiene, and toileting.
• Takes and records daily vital signs. Reports all vital signs that are outside the normal range.
• Assists patients with positioning/turning, transfers, catheter care, and range of motion exercises.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State of Michigan CNA Certification.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of valid auto insurance, and maintain a driving record in accordance with McLaren’s corporate driving policy and eligibility guidelines
• BLS certification required within first week of hire.

Preferred:

• Six months of experience with a variety of patients.
