Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Nurse Assistant to provide essential patient care under RN supervision, supporting safety, comfort, and the patient experience across a 12-bed cardiac stepdown setting.

You will assist in planning care with the RN, respond to emergencies, participate in continuing education, and uphold the System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Nurse Assistant program completion or current enrollment in nursing fundamentals.
• BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.

About the Department

3B- 12 bed cardiac stepdown is a cardiac unit that includes anything with general medicine including COPD, CFF, cardiac traumas (not super acute), low sodium, and diabetes.

As a Nurse Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you'll provide essential patient care, assist in care planning, and respond to emergent situations. Your contributions directly support our nursing team and enhance the patient experience.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
