Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (or currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing) OR foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
  • Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
  • CNA certification preferred.
  • May be currently enrolled in a nursing program and have successfully completed Fundamentals of Nursing.
  • At least one year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT, or similar job role.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
What You Will Need
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CNA certification preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • CNA required.
  • Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (titles for similar programs may vary; e.g., Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Patient Assistant Technician (PAT) but perform the same job role.)
  • May be currently enrolled in a nursing program and have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course.
  • Foreign trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the United States and does not hold a Michigan Rn license.
  • Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
  • At least one (1) year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT, or similar job role.
Certifications/Licensures Required

Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
