Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks a Nurse Apprentice to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse preceptor at the Northwest Reno facility expanding acute rehabilitation and behavioral health services.

You will participate in bedside reporting, patient assessments, and care planning under RN guidance, supporting a multidisciplinary team dedicated to high-quality care and safety for adults and diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing.
• Has completed the fundamentals course in nursing school.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates bedside reporting with IMAP & SBAR in partnership with the patient.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments across patient populations and re-assess per policy.
• Collaborates with RN preceptor to formulate and revise patient care plans.
• Monitors patient changes and communicates results to the RN preceptor.

Education

Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing.

Has completed the fundamentals course in nursing school.

Current BLS certification.
