Job summary

Southeast KY Community & Technical College seeks a Nurse Aide Instructor for the Knox Campus to teach in the expanded Nursing Assistant program, including day, evening, and/or distance-learning courses.

This full-time 10-month position starts January 1, 2027. Responsibilities include instructing the 88.5-hour Nurse Aide course with lectures, lab, and clinical training, along with the 105-hour Kentucky Medication Aide course, and maintaining records, travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing and minimum two years of experience.
• MOI training or willingness to complete MOI training.
• Two years of long-term care experience as an RN (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Instruct the Nurse Aide course (88.5 hours) with lectures, skills lab and 16+ hours of supervised clinical training in a long-term care facility.
• Instruct the 105-hour Kentucky Medication Aide course (lecture, skills lab, clinical) in a long-term care setting.
• Maintain accurate records and pertinent files; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Instruct Health Science courses for dual-credit students.
• Travel to other campuses as needed; participate in college service and assessment activities.
