Job summary

Bluegrass Community & Technical College seeks a part-time Adjunct Faculty member for Medicaid Nurse Aide (MNA) and Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA). The position is on-site at Bluegrass C&TC - Leestown Campus and across campuses, teaching SRNA and Medication Aide courses, proctoring SRNA exams, and providing didactic, lab, and clinical instruction.

Flexibility for evenings/weekends is required; responsible for maintaining high instructional standards and adapting to various clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Kentucky with 2 years RN experience and at least 1 year in long-term care.
• Methods of Instruction Certificate of Completion required.

Responsibilities

• Teach State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) and Medication Aide classes in didactic, lab, and clinical settings.
• Proctor and evaluate the SRNA performance exam in the KNAT Testing Center.

Job Summary

Part-time adjunct appointment in the Nurse Aide program with opportunity to teach at all BCTC campus locations, including Workforce Solutions. Faculty will primarily teach state Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) and Medication Aide classes in addition to proctoring and evaluating the SRNA performance exam. Applicant will provide instruction in the didactic, laboratory, and clinical settings. This position requires flexibility of scheduling which may include evenings and weekends and in a variety of health care facility locations.

Job Duties

• Promote an effective teaching and learning environment to further develop students into knowledgeable competent and compassionate healthcare professionals.
• Teach State Registered Nurse Aide and Medication Aide classes in the didactic, laboratory and clinical settings.
• Proctor and Evaluate the SRNA performance exam in the BCTC KNAT Testing Center.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky with 2 years RN experience, and at least 1 year RN experience working in a long-term care facility.
