Salem Crossing Nurse Aide in Training Program

Location: Salem, Indiana

Overview: Stepping stone to becoming a Certified Nurse Aide! At American Senior Communities, our Nurse Aide In Training positions help provide person-centered care to residents while earning their CNA certification.

Program Details: This paid job opportunity requires no previous experience. You will complete 30 hours of classroom training and 75 hours of clinical practice to become a CNA. Post-completion, there are further opportunities for career advancement in nursing.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with resident bed making and transportation
• Distribute clothing protectors and assist with dining setup
• Pass food trays (not assist with feeding)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of units and personal items
• Transport laundry and linens
• Participate in resident activities
• Report significant resident changes to the charge nurse
• Adhere to privacy and safety standards, including HIPAA and PPE protocols
• Demonstrate teamwork and consistent attendance
