Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Nurse Aide for 2 Main, Full Time, Day shift (7AM - 7PM) with alternating days. Under RN supervision, you will perform basic nursing tasks to ensure patient safety, comfort and clean, organized rooms, and assist with diagnostic prep.

The role requires HS diploma or GED, BLS (AHA) and first aid training, plus good interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Salary transparency included and online applications only.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification (AHA only) and first aid training.
• Ability to read and write at an elementary school level to understand the patient's plan of care and to record data.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care to meet patient needs and comfort.
• Respond to patient call lights promptly and relay information to nursing staff.
• Observe patient condition and report changes to the nurse promptly.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for procedures and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Perform vital signs, baths, skin care, and routine nursing tasks per policy.
