Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a Nurse Aide-Med Surg to support patient care on the NSG-2 North unit. Under RN supervision, you perform routine nursing tasks to ensure patient comfort and safety, maintain clean rooms, prep equipment for procedures, and assist with basic care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification (AHA only) and first aid training required.
• De-escalation training provided on the job.
• Ability to read and write at elementary level for patient plan of care and medical record documentation.

• Respond promptly to patient call lights and relay information to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and room preparation for procedures.
