Job description/Responsibilities: Per-DiemAll ShiftsAPPROXIMATE PAY RANGE:$81.73 - $107.65Under minimal supervision act as a resource person to hospital staff and represents Administration during off-duty hours. ESSENTIAL DUTIESAssumes the role of leadership in the absence of Administration during after hours, weekends, and holidays. The resource for the Supervisor is the Administrator On-call.Provides leadership for nursing staff in the absence of the Clinical Managers and Vice President, Patient ServicesAssumes a leadership role within the hospital during the time of disaster and other crisis situations. Contacts appropriate persons and give directions to hospital staff.Acts as a resource person to all hospital staff in support of departmental goals and objectives based on hospital philosophy and goals.Supports the management staff of the hospital by giving input into planning and budgeting. Participates in developing policies and procedures.Provides service during off-duty hours, for those departments that are normally closed, when services are needed for continuity of patient care.Demonstrates competence in the care of pediatric or frail elderly groups of patients (when/if assigned to these patients) relative to determining each patient's age-related and other physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs and carrying out patient care activities.Supports facilitates and participates in the activities of those departments providing in-service and training programs as necessary.
