Job description

IN-HOME NURSE (RN/LPN)
Promise: We Will Protect What Matters Most

Location: Rapid City, SD and surrounding Black Hills communities

Employment Options: Limited Part-Time

Compensation: $30-$40/hour based on licensure, experience, and qualifications

Typical Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility based on client needs.

We Don't Hire Nurses to Complete Visits.

We Hire Nurses Who Help Protect What Matters Most.

At Home Instead of the Black Hills, our mission is simple:

We are leaders in creating a better What's Next for our Clients, Families, and Care Pros—deliberately different, centered on people, and rooted in C.A.R.E.

We believe exceptional care begins with exceptional people.

That's why we aren't building a workforce.

We're building the capacity to care.

Every day, families trust us during some of life's most important and vulnerable moments. They invite us into their homes, share their concerns, and rely on us to help the people they love remain safe, independent, and connected.

That trust is never taken lightly.

As an In-Home Nurse, you'll play a vital role in helping clients age with dignity, supporting families with confidence, and strengthening the care experience for everyone involved.

If you're looking for a position where relationships matter as much as clinical skill, where your voice is valued, and where your work has a visible impact every day, we'd love to meet you.

How You'll Help Create a Better What's Next

Your work will directly influence the safety, well-being, and quality of life of the clients and families we serve.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver skilled nursing care in clients' homes, including assessments, medication management, wound care, and other nursing services within your scope of practice
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and families through compassionate communication and consistent support
  • Identify concerns early and proactively address risks that could impact a client's health, safety, or independence
  • Collaborate closely with Care Pros and office leadership to ensure care plans remain personalized and responsive
  • Educate clients and families so they feel informed, empowered, and supported
  • Document care accurately and communicate effectively to ensure continuity and quality of care
  • Help create peace of mind for families navigating complex caregiving situations

Every visit is an opportunity to provide more than clinical care.

It's an opportunity to provide confidence, comfort, and connection.
