Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) invites undergraduates and graduates to join the Waste Management Integration Division as an intern, contributing to the management, characterization, transport, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials and waste. You will engage in predictive modeling, data analysis, and radiological evaluations, working closely with operations personnel and project management.

This internship runs on a 4x10 schedule onsite.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate junior, senior, or graduate student enrolled full time in ABET-accredited program in a technical/scientific field
• Minimum overall 3.0 GPA
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (CPT/OPT)
• Resume or CV provided

• Current class schedule with credits provided

Responsibilities

• Support waste characterization, inventory management, forecasting and predictive modeling of radioactive waste streams
• Perform data analysis and reporting on radiological operations
• Conduct decay calculations and radiological engineering evaluations
• Assist in logistics and coordination for waste handling and transportation

Education

ABET-accredited college/university study in Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Operational Management, Engineering, or related field

3.0 GPA minimum

Authorization to work in the U.S. (CPT/OPT)
