Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking a Project Control Tech Aide for Nuclear Test to manage the Nuclear Test satellite library and support test engineering with manual revisions. You will coordinate with multiple departments, oversee document control, and help implement process improvements in manual configuration management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 5+ years relevant admin work in office/manufacturing.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Preferred: MS Access and Adobe Acrobat proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and Maintain Nuclear Test satellite library.
• Assist Test Engineering with process specification review forms IAW MDD-01452.
• Maintain configuration management of the test plan of the day technical manual status database.
• Track technical manual revision reviews and maintain the Nuclear Test manual revision status database.
• Prepare and distribute technical manual revision review sheets to departments.
• Incorporate changes into technical manuals; control lending/retrieval of manuals.
• Perform yearly technical manual reconciliation; assist various departments and RPCO with issue resolution.
• Manage the lifecycle of technical manuals from issuance to acceptance for multiple projects.
• Participate in teleconferences; interface with RPCO, BPMI and other departments.
• Support process improvements in configuration management of Nuclear Test manuals.
• Review and assemble Completed Test Books IAW SDD-00975 for new construction/overhaul.
• Review test procedure data sheets and reproduce Volume III; resolve discrepancies with Chief Nuclear Test engineers.
• Perform general administrative duties (typing memos, filing, answering phones, maintaining office supplies).
