General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Senior Nuclear Test Engineer (Test Procedure Writer) to develop and maintain nuclear test procedures for Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants. The role includes evaluating manuals and diagrams to ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance, and coordinating reviews and approvals.

The position requires 5+ years in nuclear test/shipboard test or related engineering work, strong technical writing skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years experience in Nuclear Test, Shipboard Test, Engineering or equivalent in Naval Nuclear Propulsion.
• Technical/Procedure Writing experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Associate's Degree preferred.

Electric Boat's Nuclear Test Engineering Department (D275) has openings for highly motivated Senior Nuclear Test Engineers.

The Test Engineer Sr (Test Procedure Writer) position responsibilities include preparation of nuclear test procedures to support construction, maintenance, and repairs of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants at Electric Boat and the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department (NRMD) in Groton, Connecticut.

In this role you will conduct research of technical manuals, plant diagrams, and local instructions to obtain required information and to ensure the safe operation of equipment, procedure flow and workability, and adherence to regulatory requirements and local writing guidelines.

Additionally, this position coordinates procedure reviews, the resolution of procedure comments and the approval of procedures.

Required

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 5+ years experience working in Nuclear Test, Shipboard Test, Engineering or equivalent experience as a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator
• Technical/Procedure Writing experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance

Preferred

• Associate's Degree in a related field
• Naval Nuclear Propulsion experience
• Proficient in the use of Adobe Framemaker
• Current DOD Secret Clearance
