Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Senior Nuclear Test Engineer (Test Procedure Writer) to develop and maintain nuclear test procedures for Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants. The role includes evaluating manuals and diagrams to ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance, and coordinating reviews and approvals.

The position requires 5+ years in nuclear test/shipboard test or related engineering work, strong technical writing skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years experience in Nuclear Test, Shipboard Test, Engineering or equivalent in Naval Nuclear Propulsion.
• Technical/Procedure Writing experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Associate's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nuclear test procedures to support construction, maintenance, and repairs of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants at Electric Boat and NRMD in Groton, CT.
• Research technical manuals and plant diagrams to gather information and ensure safe operation, proper procedure flow, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate procedure reviews, address comments, and obtain approvals for procedures.
