Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. The role involves analysis, design, and evaluation of critical structures for client facilities, with opportunities to lead design initiatives and mentor others. Travel for site visits and field support may be required.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience, including power generation or DOE projects. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of structural systems including concrete and steel.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and evaluate critical structures and components for client facilities, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure smooth coordination and integration of designs.
• Lead design initiatives, craft project scopes, and produce engineering estimates.
• Travel for site walkdowns, oversee field installations and support system start-ups.
• Inspire and mentor teams to achieve goals while maintaining a positive, results-driven attitude.
