Job summary

X-energy is seeking experienced engineers to perform structural analysis for its reactor-related systems and components. You will evaluate stress, deformation, and lifetime performance using FEA tools such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, and NASTRAN, and contribute to the design basis and safety documentation.

Responsibilities include developing concepts, coordinating with systems engineers, and producing design calculations, reports, and drawings while ensuring compliance with quality procedures and industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Level II typically requires 2 years of engineering experience; higher levels require more experience.
• Experience in Structural Analysis including hand calculations and FEA software.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist structural analysis for systems, structures, and components of nuclear reactors.
• Use FEA software and hand calculations to assess stress, deformation, and lifetime performance.
• Develop concepts and support design and qualification of SSCs for nuclear safety.
