Averro seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer (Nuclear) in Oak Brook, IL to lead thermal and structural analyses for microreactor systems. You will use advanced FEA tools to evaluate heat transfer, thermal stresses, and high-temperature components. Collaboration with design teams and preparation of reports are key parts of the role.

Minimum 5+ years of engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field are required; a Master's is preferred. Direct hire with competitive benefits.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong background in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Perform thermal and structural analyses for microreactor systems using ANSYS, COMSOL or Abaqus.
• Conduct heat transfer and thermal stress evaluations under steady-state, transient, and accident conditions.
• Support mechanical design activities including component sizing, material selection, and design verification.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and technical presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design reviews and problem solving.
