Job summary

ASRC Industrial Services is seeking a Safety Technician for a large-scale nuclear-site project in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The role emphasizes maintaining a safe, compliant work environment through field leadership and active safety program participation.

This 9–12 month contract includes a 6x10 schedule, roughly 60 hours per week, with day and night shifts and built-in overtime. Candidates should have OSHA 30 (OSHA 500 preferred) and strong hazard recognition skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of safety experience in industrial construction.
• OSHA 30 required at minimum; OSHA 500 preferred.
• Proficiency in hazard recognition and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safety compliance on the project.
• Perform jobsite inspections and safety audits.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and safety planning.
• Support PPE, fall protection, respiratory protection and Lockout/Tagout programs.
• Maintain safety documentation and site reports.
