Job summary

Boston Government Services seeks a Shift Technical Adviser to support operations at the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The role provides the technical expertise to interpret the approved safety basis and assesses the impact of proposed changes on safe operation.

The position is full-time and onsite, with weekend on-call rotations and opportunities to lead a variety of safety, compliance, and project coordination activities within a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree plus 15–20 years of direct experience, or MA/MS with 14–18 years.
U.S. citizen and ability to obtain a DOE Q security clearance.
Ability to obtain HRP certification.
Fully onsite at Y12 with a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities

Serving as primary support for the Operations Manager and Shift Manager to ensure daily operations are safe and compliant.
Interfacing with support organizations to ensure planned operations meet safety basis and authorized work.
Troubleshooting and improving issues within operations management to enhance compliance.
Serving in a project management role for coordinating large cross-cutting activities within the facility.
