Job summary

F.D. Thomas is seeking QC Technicians to join a large-scale nuclear site project in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. You will be a key part of the project team, ensuring work meets contract requirements, project specifications, and quality standards.

This is a field-oriented role with day and night shifts, 6x10s work schedule, and opportunities for overtime. Strong documentation skills, field experience, and familiarity with coatings and QC processes are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience in industrial construction.
• Experience performing inspections and completing QC documentation in a field environment.
• Ability to interpret project specifications, drawings, work packages, procedures, and quality requirements.
• Understanding of inspection and documentation processes.
• Industrial coatings/painting/concrete restoration experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surface preparation and coating application processes is a plus.
• Experience documenting and tracking deficiencies and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections to verify work meets contract requirements and specifications.
• Support and implement the project's QA/QC program and procedures.
• Document and report field inspections and QA/QC results.
• Identify nonconformances and coordinate corrective actions with field leadership.
• Maintain accurate, traceable quality documentation and inspection records.
• Coordinate with supervision on testing, inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
