Orano USA seeks a Nuclear Safety/ISA Engineer to lead development of the Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) and safety-basis documentation for the Oak Ridge project. You will conduct hazard analyses, identify IROFS, and coordinate safety reviews across disciplines to ensure NRC compliance.

The role requires 4–15 years in nuclear safety analysis or related safety engineering, with a DOE clearance eligibility and onsite work in Oak Ridge, TN.

Competenze

• Ownership of ISA or DSA or equivalent safety-basis products under 10 CFR 70/830.
• Experience in nuclear safety analysis, safety-basis development, or safety engineering at a nuclear facility.

Mansioni

• Lead development and configuration control of ISA, ISA Summary, and safety-basis docs.
• Perform hazard analyses (HAZOP/HAZID/What-If/FMEA) for enrichment processes and UF6 handling.
• Identify IROFS and define functional requirements and performance criteria.
• Prepare USQ/change evaluations and 10 CFR 70.72 packages.
• Support NRC licensing actions, RAIs, inspections, and readiness reviews.
• Review vendor docs and design packages for safety-basis impact; challenge designs as needed.
• Integrate safety disciplines into a coherent facility safety case.
• Investigate events and recommend corrective actions and updates.
• Author technical reports and brief leadership/regulators.
