Job summary

Aecon delivers critical infrastructure projects across North America, including nuclear programs. The Site Manager for the SRS site will lead day-to-day operations, coordinate personnel and resources, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and meet contractual and client requirements in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills, with DOE experience highly recommended and U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years nuclear construction and subcontractor supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company policies and project procedures are followed by project personnel.
• Support project management with planning and proper means and methods for construction activities.
• Plan and manage manpower, materials, tools, equipment, and schedules across multiple projects.
• Drive onboarding of resources for multiple projects.
• Enforce safety, quality, and human performance programs on all projects.
• Notify client representatives and Aecon leadership of site safety incidents.
• Maintain worker training records.
• Develop and maintain risk management plans aligned with project objectives.
• Plan and maintain temporary site facilities and site logistics.
• Coordinate direct-hire trades and non-manual resources effectively.
• Understand and apply trade agreements.
• Elevate performance concerns to Site Labor Relations Manager or HR Representatives.
• Ensure training across safety, QA, and owner requirements is completed.
• Review and approve purchase requisitions and orders within authority.
• Interface with client representatives for policy alignment.
• Foster collaboration among Safety, Quality, Construction, and PM teams.
• Lead regular site safety inspections and Joint Health and Safety Committee participation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review timesheets, expenses, vacations, and training requests.
• Lead daily priority meetings with project managers.
• Provide performance reviews and coaching for direct reports.
• Support proposals for new opportunities.
