Job summary
SCT is seeking multiple Engineer/Physical Scientist candidates to support DOE/NNSA research, development, testing and evaluation activities in the Washington, DC area. Roles may be filled at junior or senior levels based on experience and contract needs.
Selected candidates will provide technical, analytical, programmatic, and integration support for stockpile stewardship and related research programs, collaborating with Federal PMs, national labs, and partners.
Qualifications
- Advanced STEM degree (MS or PhD) in engineering, physics or related science.
- 5+ years of relevant experience at NNSA, national labs, or similar org.
- Experience in program management and research in high energy density physics or related areas.
- Ability to obtain DOE Q clearance and access to classified info.
- Strong ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Provide scientific and engineering expertise to NA-11 programs.
- Act as technical advisor or PM specialist for R&D planning and execution.
- Review project data sheets, technical plans and program documentation.
- Evaluate progress, risks, costs, and coordination opportunities across sites.
- Prepare technical assessments, white papers, and briefing materials.
